Motion and

Television Graphics

Motion Graphics is a term associated with the television and film industry. While I did spend four years designing and developing television motion graphics for companies such as Fox, ABC, and NBC, my segway into interactive and web design started with a motion graphics project for a touch screen kiosk to be place in Nissan auto dealerships (top right).

Time-based design should be thought of much differently than other types of design, but it does share a single shared precept with other design; it must tell a story. I believe my architectural background helps me understand design based on time. Like walking through a building -room by room- motion graphics is about the experience of the viewer over time.

In addtion to other television graphics, I have dozens of examples of “time-based” design for the web not shown and can share it upon request.
